Ketamine: The Freedom Molecule
I’ve seen it happen over and over during ketamine journeys:
A profound freedom of choice emerges — the kind that allows people to do what they’ve never done before. To take a leap they’d never imagined. To give themselves permission to act boldly.
I haven’t just witnessed this transformation — I’ve lived it myself.
One of my participants, also a physician, shifted her entire career path after our work together. My own change was just as dramatic.
My Story
For nearly a decade, I worked as an integrative psychiatrist for a county clinic. Even with autonomy and great supervisors, I felt trapped — boxed in by bureaucracy, by a system that labels and pathologizes, and by the systemic inequities my patients faced daily.
And beneath all that was a deep, unfulfilled yearning. I wanted to heal and create in other ways — through movement and dance, through psychedelics, through writing and storytelling.
But I didn’t have the courage to leave.
I was bound by what I call golden handcuffs:
Amazing supervisors who inspired me.
Talented, diverse colleagues I enjoyed working with.
Grateful families and fascinating cases.
A stable, well-paying job with excellent benefits.
So I stayed. For years. Struggling silently.
Until ketamine.
Initially, my request for treatment was denied. But I appealed — and when my referral finally went through, it changed everything.
My first sessions were nothing short of spiritual. The images and patterns I saw were awe-inspiring, but even more powerful was what I felt:
Spaciousness — a sense of vast possibility.
Perspective — the ability to witness my life without my usual reactivity.
Clarity and courage — the knowing that it was time to break free.
Not just from my job, but from the entire model of traditional psychiatry.
They say not to make big decisions right after a psychedelic journey — and often, that’s wise. But sometimes, the journey simply reveals what you’ve already known in your heart. You don’t need new information; you need the freedom and courage to act.
Ketamine gave me that.
I left my job. I followed my deeper callings. And now, I help others do the same.
Freedom Is Possible
The freedom ketamine brings is twofold:
Freedom from the chains of old stories, roles, and conditioning.
Freedom to take bold new actions and create a life aligned with your deepest longings.
So many of us suffer quietly, stuck in patterns or positions that suffocate our spirit. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
If you are ready to break free — whether from old wounds, limiting beliefs, or a life that no longer fits — I invite you to join me for a ketamine-assisted therapy journey. Together, we’ll create a sacred space where your higher aspirations aren’t just possibilities, but real choices you can claim and live into.
This is your invitation to courage.
To clarity.
To freedom.
Let’s take that step together: Work with me →
